Motueka 50Plus Walkers Image
The Motueka 50+ Walking Group is a group of people aged 50 and over who enjoy
exploring the beautiful and varied region we live in, from Nelson Lakes to Farewell Spit.

Our walks are every Thursday and cater for different levels of fitness from easy to hard.

We meet at Decks Reserve car park in Motueka where car-pooling is arranged. Starting times vary for different walks and we return some time in the afternoon.

The alternative group meet later at Decks Reserve car park for an easier walk.
Occasionally, bus trips are organised for walks further field. Some purely social occasions are held.

Longer trips lasting several days explore more distant regions like the West Coast, Marlborough and Canterbury.

Meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at the RSA, High Street, starting at 9.30 a.m with a "cuppa", and followed by an optional short walk and lunch. Our annual subscription is $10, with a joining fee of $5. Visitors are always welcome. If you want to come directly on one of our walks, please check its suitability for you with one of our office bearers.
